, and any ground characters that are not grounded at the moment of getting hit.
  • Upon getting knocked up, the target cannot be knocked up again for 5 seconds. However, even if an enemy is in the air for longer than this, it is impossible to juggle them as the knock-up effect is only applied when an enemy is grounded.
  • The landing impact velocity is unaffected by the monster's weight or the Environment's gravity, e.g., Commencement CommencementCommencementCommencement (Final)

, because the motion is governed by a simple kinematic equation so the velocity they leave the ground with is the same velocity they land with.
  • The fall damage is defined by the formula , where jumpPower is a value specific to each monster, generally ranging between 15 and 20. As such, in order to be knocked up high enough in the air to receive fall damage, 9 to 11 stacks are required.
    • Since each additional stack increases the landing velocity by 2 and the fall damage increases by , it requires a further 30 stacks to kill a monster from fall damage after knocking it up once.
  • While the target is launched upwards with a certain force, they are also pushed with half of the same force away from the attacker's aiming direction, therefore making the launching trajectory an arc.
    • For projectile attacks, which arrive after a delay, the player can attack an enemy and then directly look upwards, which can result into a 150% launching velocity upwards, thereby requiring fewer stacks to inflict fall damage.
  • Knockback Fin can effectively slow down meele monsters from getting in range of the player. This has some conceptual similarities with Stun Grenade Stun GrenadeBgCommonStun GrenadeStun Grenade
    Chance to stun on hit.

5% (+5% on stack) chance on hit to stun enemies for 2 seconds.
, however, it can be argued the latter is a generally more useful item; it can also affect non-grounded enemies and it can be applied continuously thus perpetually stunning a monster in place and making them a sitting duck, while Knockback Fin will push them away from your aiming position thus making it harder to continuously apply damage. into the air, it makes their Fireball Volley attack harder to avoid since the fireballs can be fired at an angle to the ground and effectively explode near the player.
  • Knockback Fin can affect even survivors, except from Loader, so in theory one could combine this with the ChaosArtifact of Chaos to get to normally unreachable locations.

by getting to the tallest natural location, which is the roof of the Pillars of Blood area, one needs approximately 65 stacks to reach the arena by hitting themselves or another ally. If the attacker is looking up at the moment they damage the intended target, they will only require 2/3rds of that, i.e., approximately 42 stacks. Impressed? I know you are.
We finally cleared our grid, but man did it put up a fight. We lost James and Kight. This fin knocked them off the U.E.S.S. [REDACTED] with so much force we heard them hit the water in pieces. At least it was quick.

There isn’t a speck of land on this blasted planet but now it’s safe enough to build our first dock. It’s not land, but it’s a step up from this flotsam. I won’t miss giant sea creatures bumping the ship in the night, or losing my lunch to this damn swaying.

Get us a good commission for it will ya? And send down some playing cards, the silence is killing us.
