The Corpsebloom is a lunar item in Risk of Rain 2.

All the player's healing is increased by 100% (+100% per stack), but unlike the Rejuvenation Rack.pngRejuvenation RackBgLegendary.pngRejuvenation Rack.pngDouble the strength of healing.

, regeneration is not increased. Additionally, all healing is applied over time, ticking every 0.2 seconds, at a maximum rate of 10% of the player's max health per second (this maximum rate is halved per additional stack).

The regeneration rate scales linearly while the amount of maximum health that can be healed scales exponentially, so taking multiple Corpseblooms will quickly make healing nearly impossible.

will raise the maximum healing over time received by Corpsebloom above the cap according to its multiplier.

1 10%
2 5%
3 2.5%
4 1.25%
5 0.63%

The body is received and placed in a special containment unit. Proper care must be taken to ensure most efficient growth conditions.

The seeds are planted in the body.

One day passes.

Flesh softens and stretches. Youth returns to the face. Bones harden.

Another day passes.

Dead skin falls away from the body, and muscles gain strength. Hair resumes its original luster.

Another day passes.

The flowers have fully bloomed and the body is as good as new.

No signs of life, but not necessary.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Initially, the Corpsebloom would give the player a 5% critical strike chance and a chance to "critically heal," doubling the amount of HP restored. The chance for this to happen would be determined by critstat/corpseblooms, and the player's chance to deal critical damage would be lowered by this amount. This was abandoned before the Early Access release because "[crit heal] wasn't as cool as it sounded".[1] The Corpsebloom still has the internal name 'CritHeal' as a relic from this early development stage. This is not to be confused with 'HealOnCrit', which would be the Harvester's Scythe.pngHarvester's ScytheBgUncommon.pngHarvester's Scythe.png'Critical Strikes' heal you.
Gain 5% critical chance. Critical strikes heal for 8 (+4 per stack) health.

  • The effect of Eclipse 5 is applied twice when calculating the heal for Corpsebloom: once when the initial heal is calculated and again when the delayed heal occurs. This makes a single Corpsebloom a useless pickup on Eclipse 5 and up.
  • In the RoR2 Discord poll of June 10th 2019, the Corpsebloom was voted the least favorite Lunar item.[2]
